Chef Dave has worked in Toledo area restaurants for over 25 years, earning a culinary degree from Owens Community College in 2012. While working in a high-volume casual restaurant in Toledo, his breaktime meal almost always consisted of a gyro or sandwich on naan. During this handful of years, the idea that would become Naan Stop Kebap was born.

While planning the business, Dave was urged by his former employer and friend to research döner kebab. After several road trips and dozens of hours of research the decision was made to narrow the menu to focus almost exclusively on döner.
